Braasi Industry is more than just a brand – it’s a family-run workshop born from a shared passion for craftsmanship and design.
Nestled in the heart of Prague’s Holešovice district, our small factory is a space we imagined, designed and brought to life with our own hands.
Here, we focus on what we do best: crafting our signature backpacks.
Each piece is made using high-quality, locally sourced materials, selected with care and intention.
With respect to our planet.
Our inspiration? The clean, functional beauty of 1980s climbing gear – simple, durable, and built for adventure. That timeless aesthetic runs through everything we create.
CONCEPT
At Braasi, our design philosophy is rooted in our background in architecture. We approach each collection with a focus on practicality, visual clarity, and timeless appeal – always striving to create pieces that are simple, functional, and effortlessly stylish.
We believe in the power of minimalism: that less is more.
Our products are designed to move seamlessly between city life and the outdoors. Whether you’re navigating urban streets, exploring nature, or traveling the world, a Braasi backpack is made to go with you.
We were among the first to reimagine the classic rolltop backpack for modern life — a style that has since become a favorite of cyclists, travelers, and culture lovers alike.
BEGINNINGS
Braasi began in 2013 with a simple idea: to make backpacks we couldn’t find anywhere else — practical, well-designed, and made to last.
We sketched a few ideas, sewed our first prototype and wore it proudly. When friends started asking for their own, we bought a sewing machine and got to work.
What started as a personal project quickly grew into something more. We loved the process — designing, making, improving — and as interest in our backpacks grew, we decided to build our own brand.
A major milestone came in 2014, when we joined Prague’s designSUPERMARKET. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Encouraged by the response, we took Braasi beyond Czech borders — building a modest display, selecting trade shows across Europe, and taking our products on the road. Our designs were quickly noticed by boutique owners and distributors abroad.
Today, more than half of our backpacks travel to international markets.
Braasi is still a family business at heart. Our workshop in Prague’s Holešovice district is where we design, cut, and sew every piece — combining timeless aesthetics with everyday functionality.
As our lives evolve, so does Braasi. Parenthood inspired our line of mini backpacks, so even the smallest adventurers could B / IN.
In 2019, we expanded our Urban Essentials to include a clothing collection, and launched two urban bikes built for design lovers and tech enthusiasts alike.
We design with intention. We make things we believe in. And we build for the long run.

At Braasi, we’re always open to new ideas, creative input, and potential collaborations. Our vision is to grow Braasi into a platform for both design development and production.
We genuinely enjoy working with other people and brands — fresh ideas and diverse perspectives push our creativity further and help us evolve.
That’s why you’ll often see Braasi teaming up with illustrators, artists, and commercial partners on special projects and limited editions.
